Costs & financing

How much does a Bath Fitter project cost?

Our published planning range for a typical tub-to-shower conversion is $8,500–$15,000. Your bathroom, installation scope and selections determine the written quote, and a different scope can fall outside that range. Compare prices by service or read what changes the cost.

Is the online estimate my final price?

No. The instant estimate provides a planning range based on your answers. Your in-home consultation confirms measurements, existing conditions and selections so your team can give you a written quote.

Can I finance my new bath or shower?

Yes, financing options are available, subject to credit approval. Compare the current plans, repayment terms and lender disclosures on our financing page. Promotional financing is not the same as an unconditional promise of no interest; review the terms of the plan you choose.

Installation & project scope

Can installation really take just one day?

Many tub and shower installations are completed in as little as one day after the custom products are ready. That is the installation time, not the entire time from consultation to completion. Project scope and existing conditions can require more time. Read how one-day remodeling works.

What is the difference between a tub liner and a full replacement?

A tub liner fits a custom acrylic shell over an existing tub that is suitable for a liner. A full replacement removes the old tub and installs a new one. Your consultant assesses the existing space and explains which approach fits. Compare liners, reglazing and replacement.

What happens if there is water damage behind my tub?

Our local teams repair rot or water damage within the wet area as part of the installation scope we discuss with you. Extensive structural problems or work beyond the wet area are a different scope and need a separate conversation. Ask what your written quote includes. Learn what may be hiding behind an old tub.

Does Bath Fitter remodel the entire bathroom?

Our core services focus on the bathtub and shower area: tub-to-shower conversions, shower remodeling and bathtub remodeling. If you need to move walls or redesign the entire room, a broader remodeling contractor may be a better fit. Read when Bath Fitter is not the right choice.

Design & accessibility

Can I choose different wall patterns, doors and fixtures?

Yes. Explore our wall styles and accessories, including doors, shelving, fixtures, grab bars and seating. Your consultant can show samples and confirm which combinations work in your bathroom.

Does Bath Fitter install walk-in bathtubs with doors?

No. Bath Fitter does not install walk-in bathtubs with doors. For easier access, your consultant can discuss a walk-in shower with an appropriate threshold, seating and grab bars. Read our aging-in-place shower guide.

Is acrylic always a better choice than tile?

No. Acrylic offers grout-free cleaning and a custom-fit wet-area system; tile offers design choices that some homeowners prefer. Budget, maintenance, appearance and project scope matter. Our acrylic-versus-tile comparison explains the tradeoffs.

Warranty & care

Does the lifetime warranty transfer to a new homeowner?

The full lifetime warranty on Bath Fitter-manufactured acrylic products transfers to successive owners of the home under its written terms. Other components may have different coverage. See the official warranty documents and our plain-language explanation.

How should I clean my Bath Fitter tub or shower?

Use a soft cloth or sponge and products on Bath Fitter’s approved cleaner list. Follow the product and Bath Fitter instructions; avoid abrasive tools and unapproved chemicals. Start with our cleaning guide and approved cleaner list.

Who do I contact if I have a warranty concern?
